SR., James Allen SANDERS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Allen Sanders, Sr., age 56, was born December 13, 1953 and died January 24, 2010 at his residence following a sudden illness. A disabled tank commander in the United States Army and member of the Protestant faith, he was the son of Jessie Faye Smith Sanders of McMinnville and the late Franklin D. Sanders. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Franklin Sanders. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Serena and Chris Rasnick of Florida; two sons and daughter-in-law, Albert Reiser of Germany and James Allen and Carla Sanders, Jr. of McMinnville; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Dickie Clay Sanders of Smithville, TN and Henry Sanders and Franklin Sanders, Jr. both of McMinnville; two sisters, Sharon Narramore and Patsy Layne both of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Full military honors were administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
