Betty Jo Stanley SCOTT

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Betty Jo Stanley Scott, age 71, was born August 27, 1938 and died January 17, 2010 at Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, TN following a one-week illness. She was a Corporal with the Tennessee Department of Safety where she retired as the supervisor at the Driver Service Center in McMinnville. She was the daughter of the late J.K. and Mary Rose Bennett Stanley. She was married January 6, 1957 to Hugh Thomas Scott who preceded her in death March 5, 2005. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Charmaine and Bill McNeill of Brentwood, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Laura Scott of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Cate and Charlie Scott of Franklin, TN; sister, Carolyn Dunn of McMinnville; two brothers, Carl and Larry Stanley both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Shirley Bost and Darrell Gribble. Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to .
