McMinnville resident and Madison County, AL native Milton Leon Sharp, age 90, was born November 13, 1920 and died November 23, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. A retired employee of DeZURIK, United States Army and United States Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late William H. and Clara Mae Hudson Sharp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. He was married December 15, 1945 to Edith Rutledge Sharp of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Loretta Sharp of Shelbyville, TN; three daughters and sons-in-law, June and Butch Lorance and Tessia Stewart both of McMinnville and Karen and Earl Nunley of Murfreesboro, TN; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Sharp and R.A. Sharp both of Hixson, TN and three sisters, Velma Wright of Flintville, TN, Louise Barnes of Florida and Gertrude Ogles of Trenton, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with James Boyd officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Call at East End Church of Christ.
