Elsie Jo SNODGRASS

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Elsie Jo Snodgrass, age 76, was born December 23, 1933 and died October 1, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Bessie Swindell Collins. She was married August 12, 1950 to Carl Edward Snodgrass who preceded her in death May 20, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Collins; son, Robert Edward Snodgrass and son-in-law, Dale Owens. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Bud Seals and Joyce and Ken Mullican both of McMinnville and Ruth and Daryl Dunker of Manchester, TN; son, Jeff Snodgrass of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Lacresha Busteed, Lori Mayfield, Chad Owens and Kelli Langford; three great-grandchildren, Mitch Owens, Kate Owens and Wesley Langford and two sisters, Florene Elmore of Spencer, TN and Pauline Looney of Sparta, TN. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with Kenneth W. Kirby officiating. Burial followed in the Anderson Cemetery in White County, TN. The family would like to extend a special thank you the NHC nursing staff.
