George William TEMPLETON

Sparta, TN resident and Warren County native George William Templeton, age 91, was born December 7, 1918 and died January 20, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired saw mill worker, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late George Washington and Pauline Elkins Templeton. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Vickie Templeton; granddaughter, Jeannie Templeton and two great-grandchildren, Jonah Purrenhage and Gabriel Purrenhage all of Sparta, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Campaign Church of Christ with James Rice officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery.
