Everett Thomas TITTSWORTH

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Everett Thomas Tittsworth, age 88, was born January 22, 1921 and died January 10, 2010 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following a seven-week illness. A retired employee of Magnetek and member of the Oakland Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Zollie L. and Ella Belle Cantrell Tittsworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie A., Ray, Benton and Herman Tittsworth and three sisters, Bessie Lou Greene, Mae Riner and Mary Snipes. He was married to Barbara Marie Tittsworth of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister-in-law, Mabel Loreta Tittsworth of McMinnville and nieces and nephews, Mae Belle Lance, Marie Johnson, Willie Brown, Beverly Fults and Kim Nunley all of McMinnville, Anita Morton and Jerry Tittsworth both of Sparta, TN, Jan Tittsworth of Taylor, AL, Jimmy Tittsworth of Clarksburg, MD, Dorothy Miller of Decatur, AL, Wayne Tittsworth of Hermitage, TN, Myron Tittsworth of Tullahoma, TN, Carolyn Cole of Lawrenceville, GA and Joyce Schmoyer of Athens, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob Deason and Bobby Cloyd officiating. Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
