Merilyn Griffith TRAUGHBER

January 14, 1936 — April 20, 2010

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Merilyn Griffith Traughber, age 74, was born January 14, 1936 and died April 20, 2010 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A bookkeeper with the Warren County Sheriff's Department and member of the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late John Roy and Mary Frances Byars Griffith. She was a member of "Just Friends" for many years. She was married to C.R. "Bud" Traughber of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Ben Webster of McMinnville; step-son, Dennis Traughber of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Slade and Kade; sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Carl Brazier of McMinnville; brother, Nick Griffith of Waverly, TN; three nephews, John, Jason and Nathan Griffith; aunt, Eleese Haston of Sparta, TN and special cousin, Pauleese Newby Craft of Smithville, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Lanny Johnson and Harry Green officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
