Robert Louis WALKER

McMinnville resident and Arkadelphia, AR native Robert Louis Walker, age 88, was born July 20, 1922 and passed away July 20, 2010 peacefully at home on his 88th birthday with his loving children at his side. A retired mechanical engineer with Union Oil, United States Army and Air Force veteran of WWII and member of the First United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Luther Miller and Salley Elizabeth Smart Walker. He was married to Amy Williamson Walker who preceded him in death January 28, 1991. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank O. Walker. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Abby Walker of Hermosa Beach, CA and David L. and Deb Walker of Minooka, IL; daughter, Elizabeth C. Walker of Cookeville, TN and sister, Salley Armstrong of San Antonio, TX. Funeral service was held at 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 in High's Chapel with Bob Case and John Vaughn officiating. Burial followed in the Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church c/o High's.
