Hester Marie WALLS

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Hester Marie Walls, age 71, was born February 26, 1939 and died June 9, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. A cook at Warren County Middle School and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Rance and Allie Sanders Higgins. She was married to Thomas L. Walls who preceded her in death in 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Ace Higgins and five sisters, Willie Mae Myers, Hazel Hobbs, Grace Hobbs, Eunice Rollings and Frances Brinkley. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Teresa Walls of McMinnville and Tony and Dana Walls of Spencer, TN; six grandchildren, Thomas, Brandon, Christa, Ashley and T.J. Walls and Jessie Kennedy; two great-grandchildren, Macey and Caydence Walls; two brothers, Herman Higgins of McMinnville and Floyd Higgins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 in High's Chapel with Terry Grissom officiating. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
