Carl Cantrell WANAMAKER

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carl Cantrell Wanamaker, age 73, was born July 28, 1936 and passed from this life April 20, 2010 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN following an extended illness. The owner and operator of Wanamaker's Plumbing and Electric, he was a United States Army veteran and was the son of the late Sidney and Zada Coppinger Wanamaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Gilbert Wanamaker. He was married September 22, 1958 to Hazel Phillips Wanamaker of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Teresa Wanamaker of McMinnville and Toney Wanamaker of Smithville, TN; granddaughter, Crystal Starr McGregor of McMinnville; brother, Jakie Wanamaker of McMinnville; three sisters, Jacine Denton, Christine Cox and Joyce Jones all of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Walton McGregor, Terry McGregor and Billy Adams all of Bone Cave, TN, Donna Morris of McMinnville and Brad Walker of Smithville, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 in High's Chapel with John Padgett officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery.
