Willie Louise WARD

Rockvale, TN resident and Hamilton County, TN native Willie Louise Ward, age 79, was born May 27, 1931 and died November 25, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of General Electric and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Zachary and Lillie Mae Lewis Bettis. She was married February 4, 1954 to Leon R. Ward of Rockvale, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children and their spouses, Deborah Baker of Manchester, TN, Leon R. Ward, Jr. of West Covina, CA, Malcomb Ivan and Carolyn Bettis of Cleveland, TN, Terry L. and Melanie "Nene" Ward of Smyrna, TN, Sherry Lynn Jenkins of LaVergne, TN and Edgar DeLon and Bea Ward of Woodbury, TN; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 in High's Chapel with Tommy Womack officiating. Burial followed in the Providence Cemetery.
