Charles Samuel WEBSTER

February 11, 1935 — April 27, 2010

Ceiba, Puerto Rico resident and Warren County native Charles Samuel Webster, age 75, was born February 11, 1935 and died April 27, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A field engineer with the Washington Star newspaper, twenty-year United States Army veteran of Vietnam and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Lester "Bub" and Elsie Dickson Webster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Webster and three sisters, Frances Webster, Ann Bost and Elizabeth York. He was married to Maria L. Rodriguez Webster of Ceiba, Puerto Rico. In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children, Charlie Joe Webster of Tyron, GA, Gilbert Horrach of Lone Branch, NJ, Doris Smith of Gastonia, NC, Linda Karalus of Charlotte, NC, Linda Callahan of Windsor, NJ, Barbara Clarke of Woodbridge, VA, William Horrach of Prior Lake, MN and Wilfred Horrach of Georgetown, GA; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, James Carl and Chris Webster of Shreveport, LA, Paul Edward and Ann Webster, Gary Wayne and Lucy Webster and Donald Ray and Peggy Webster all of McMinnville and William Floyd and Nancy Webster of Bonne Teree, MO; sister, Faye Gunter of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 in High's Chapel with Dennis Deweese officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
