William Everett WEST

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native William Everett West, age 73, was born December 24, 1936 and died April 27, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Avco, he was the son of the late Charlie Thomas and Sara Roberta Young West. He was a member of the Unity Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for thirty-seven years. He was married June 21, 1958 to Hazel Williamson West of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and their spouses, Kathy and Todd Robison and Barry and Carolyn West both of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Megen Smith and husband Adam and T.J. Robison both of McMinnville; great-granddaughter, Lily Grace Smith of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Ruth West and Wilburn and Frances West both of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Beard and Evon and Jim Davis both of McMinnville; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Ruby Williamson and Bernice and James Driver both of McMinnville; two aunts, Willowdean Helton and Imogene Adcock both of McMinnville; six nephews, four nieces, six great-nephews and seven great-nieces. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2010 in High's Chapel with Larry Acuff and Roger Hamlet officiating. Burial followed in the Unity Cemetery.
