McMinnville resident and Warren County native Margaret Louise Van Hooser White, age 88, was born July 12, 1921 and died June 12, 2010 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Nannie Greene Van Hooser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson Van Hooser and Hugh Van Hooser, Jr. and three sisters, Nannie Lee Martin, Elizabeth Short and Dorothy "Dot" Gillis. She was married July 21, 1939 to Aaron White of McMinnville. In addition to her husband of seventy-one years, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Linda White, Jr. of Lake Lure, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Charles "Chico" Jacobs of McMinnville; grandsons and their wives, Stan and Sherry Jacobs of McMinnville, Roger and Marcy Jacobs of Murfreesboro, TN, Gregory and Susan White of Gilbert, SC and Gavin and Lindsay White of Greer, SC; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Cooper, Miles and Andrew Jacobs; sister, Bessie Van Hooser Farless of Huntsville, AL and brother, Bill Van Hooser of Ooltewah, TN. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery with Jim Carden and Bill Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society c/o High's.
