William Woodrow Overton WILSON

Nashville, TN resident (formerly of McMinnville) and Overton County, TN native William "Woodrow" Overton Wilson, age 76, was born May 10, 1933 and died January 10, 2010. A retired employee of Powermatic, retired member of United Steel Workers of America and member of Forest Park Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Richard Houston and Maudie Bell Bilbrey Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Velma Wilson and Austa Parker and three brothers, Haskell "Hack" Wilson, Martin "Pete" Wilson and Howard Wilson. He was married August 1, 1958 to Mary Elizabeth Gooch Wilson of Nashville, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Judy Carol Wilson and Margaret Elizabeth Wilson Surita both of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Surita of Nashville, TN; sisters, Delcie Wilson West, Thula Wilson Kilgore and Betty Wilson Boyd all of McMinnville; brother, Gene Wilson of McMinnville; brother-in-law, David Gooch of Nashville, TN and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service and interment was held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Bethlehem Cemetery with Carl Smith officiating.
