SR., Robert Lawrence YOUNGS

Spencer, TN resident and Cleveland, OH native Robert Lawrence Youngs, Sr., age 61, was born March 8, 1948 and died January 22, 2010 at Meadowlands Hospital in Northbergen, NJ following a sudden illness. The owner of Mountain Top Trucking and United States Army veteran, he was the son of the late Harold Lee and Muriel Irene Linegar Youngs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George L. Geer. He was married October 24, 1970 to Brenda Geer Youngs of Spencer, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert and Pamela Youngs, Jr. of Sparta, TN, Harold and Nancee Youngs of Klamath Falls, OR and Wendy and Mick Shuran of Tullahoma, TN; two grandchildren, Colin and Emilee Shuran both of Tullahoma, TN; several nieces and nephews and mother-in-law, Emma Geer of Spencer, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in High's Chapel with Reverend Jerry Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Spencer Town Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
