Kenneth Russell AUSTIN

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Kenneth Russell Austin, age 77, was born January 2, 1934 and died August 6, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A plumber and electrician, he was the son of the late Willard and Polly Bounds Austin. He was married to Sarah Katherine Fults who preceded him in death April 27, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mattie Anderson, Jessie Mae Harris and Gladys Maxwell and two brothers, Lester and Ed Austin. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell Austin and Harold and Freda Austin both of McMinnville; daughter, Carole Clark of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Jonathon, Tara Sue and Amanda Austin, Josh Morton and Russell Clark; great-grandson, Caden Hobbs; two brothers, Riley Austin of McMinnville and Perry Austin of Ringgold, GA; three sisters, Eunice Pannell of Maryville, TN, Mable Ann Hanes of Georgetown, TN and Ethel Sasta of Michigan and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 in High's Chapel with Michael Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Frazier's Chapel Cemetery in White County, TN. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
