Marie Dolberry BELFORD

McMinnville resident and Unicoi, TN native Marie Dolberry Belford, age 77, was born July 25, 1933 and died April 20, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Sink Creek Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Commodore Dawson and Nell Grace Whittimore Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy Dolberry; son, Dennis Dolberry; two daughters, Emma Kay Dolberry and Billie Jean McComis; five brothers and one sister. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Dolberry and Vivian Sue Dolberry both of McMinnville; three sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Dolberry of Smithville, TN, Keith Dolberry of Toledo, OH and Allen and Vickey Dolberry of McMinnville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two grandchildren she raised as her children, Marie A. Dolberry of McMinnville and Eric T. Dolberry of Toledo, OH and brother, Michael Bailey of Detroit, MI. Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Palmyra Cemetery in Palmyra, MI.
