James Laryon BLAKE

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Laryon Blake, age 53, was born January 18, 1958 and died June 28, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. A drywall finisher, he was the son of Joyce McBride Matheny of McMinnville and the late James R. Blake. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Willie McBride; uncle, Glyen McBride and aunt, Omega Lawson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Sid Matheny of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Joe Hennessee of Manchester, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Anita Rains of Antioch, TN; three half-sisters, Tammy Blake Grimes and husband Rob, Christy Blake Adams and Sherry Blake Nicholoson and husband Eric all of London, KY; two step-sisters, Jessica Ferrell of Smithville, TN and Felicia McPeak of Lebanon, TN; five nephews, Eric Hennessee and wife Vanessa of Murfreesboro, TN, Charlie Cale Hennessee of Manchester, TN and Kyle Rains, Caleb Rains and Cole Rains all of Antioch, TN; aunts and uncles, Katherine and Alton Bottoms, Jerri and Harold Hillis and Richard and Kathy Rogers all of McMinnville, Christine Needum of Denton, TX and James Dale and Martha McBride of Rock Island, TN; special aunt, Melba McBride of McMinnville and many cousins. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 in High's Chapel with Cordell Crawford officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
