Doyle Wimpy BOYD

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Doyle "Wimpy" Boyd, age 53, was born December 6, 1957 and died November 19, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A machinist at Century Electric and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Winona Passons Boyd of Rock Island, TN and the late John Thomas Boyd. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Glenn Boyd. He was married March 2, 1974 to Lisa Mayfield Boyd of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Kerry Boyd of McMinnville and Michael and Kellie Boyd of Campaign, TN; six grandchildren, Caleb, Ada, Adam, Katlyn, Alivia and Brooklyn Boyd; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Steve Boyd and Vickie Roberts of Rock Island, TN and Jimmy and Shannon Boyd of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at Campaign Church of Christ with Jason Gann officiating. Burial followed in Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
