Florence Ramsey BOYD

McMinnville resident and Delaware County, IN native Florence Ramsey Boyd, age 85, was born July 22, 1926 and died December 29, 2011 at Riverview Terrace following an extended illness. A retired bookkeeper with Tri-City Radio Corporation in Muncie, IN and member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Reeder Byrd and Myrtle Belle Myers Ramsey. She was married June 7, 1947 to Huston Perry Boyd who preceded her in death December 20, 2011. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Clay Ramsey. She is survived by one brother, Reeder Ramsey, Jr. of Muncie, IN; sister, Kathleen Smith of Rocky Face, GA; sisters-in-law, Lucy Ramsey of Nashville, TN and Ruth Ramsey of McMinnville; nephews, Boyd Ramsey of McMinnville and Kelly Thaxton of Quebeck, TN and several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Bascom Cemetery with Byron Chambers officiating.
