Sally Ruth Gillentine Watson BROWN

McMinnville resident and Overton County, TN native Sally Ruth Gillentine Watson Brown, age 85, was born August 12, 1926 and died December 4, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a lingering illness. The retired owner/operator of Watson's General Mercantile in Viola, TN and member of the Bonner Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cora Christian Gillentine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Brown Watson in 1961 and Jimmy M. Brown in 1964. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn A. Minton of McMinnville, TN and Patricia Margo Sueno' of Honolulu, HI; two sons, Fred Watson, II and Carl A. Watson both of McMinnville; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Emma Pearl Uprichard of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Bonner Church of Christ with Jason Gann officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
