McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Charlie Crockett Conley, age 65, was born February 22, 1946 and died June 12, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier and member of the Church of God, he was the son of Gertie Williams of McMinnville and the late Clay Conley. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Cookie Conley and two sisters, Joyce Key and Lou Zona Key. He was married April 15, 1963 to Martha Anderson Conley of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Tina Conley, Carl and Cheryl Conley and Johnny Conley all of McMinnville; sister, Marie Buckner of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Charlie, Heath, Dillon, Heather (Porter) and Faith Conley, Hannah Cantrell and husband Jasper and Ashley Pease and husband J.D.; three great-grandchildren, Kylin Cantrell and Crysalin and Kaden Conley; mother-in-law, Arzella Anderson of McMinnville; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; step-father, Lawrence Williams and three special brothers-in-law, Earl Hassell, Jack Butler and Dusty Hall. A memorial service was held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Calfkiller River in Doyle, TN with Earl Hasell and Charlie Arnold officiating.
