Mary Arden ELAM

Stone Mountain, GA resident and Warren County native Mary Arden Elam, age 74, was born September 27, 1936 and died January 30, 2011 at Odyssey Hospice in Decatur, GA following a sudden illness. An LPN at Raintree Manor Nursing Home and member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Frances Martin Bonner. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Eric Mitchell of Stone Mountain, GA and Leigh and Ray Fitten of Stockbridge, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Melissa Bonner of Murfreesboro, TN; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Robert Bonner of McMinnville; two sisters, Evelyn Malone and Lilly Hill both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Selena Hurts and Betty Thrope both of Stone Mountain, GA and Tommy Brown, Yvonne Jones, Frankie Mae Dalton and Jewell Wood all of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 in High's Chapel with George King, Jr. and Phillip Smith, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
