Morris Leighton FERGUSON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Morris Leighton Ferguson, age 83, was born January 15, 1928 and died December 21, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. The owner of Lively-Ferguson Drug Store, pharmacist at Warren General Hospital, United States Navy veteran and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Zetta Mae Ferguson. He was married September 2, 1952 to Betty Phifer Ferguson of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Sherri Ferguson of Murfreesboro, TN and three granddaughters, Melody, Jessica and Abby Ferguson all of Murfreesboro, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 in High's Chapel with Eben Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in the Brick House Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or American Heart Association both c/o High's.
