Clara Lois Grime Fitch of the Mt. Zion community died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center; she was 84. She was a native of Lebanon, Tennessee, and was the daughter of Coley Alline Bass Grime and Joseph Hall Grime of Lebanon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1986 by her loving husband of 35 years, Jonah L. Fitch, sisters Sarah Settle and Rebecca Jennings, and brother Harvey Grime. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church in McMinnville, Tennessee, and a member of the Mary and Martha Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of Cumberland College in Lebanon, Tennessee, taught school in Wilson County and McMinnville, and taught piano. She was a homemaker. She is survived by daughters Emily (Paul) Kelly, Ellen Wells, and Nancy (Don) Peek, son Charles Fitch, grandsons Bryan (Jacqueline) Dayton, David (Kelly) Dayton, John (Terri) Dayton, Derry (Kim) Wells, Aaron (Emily) Wells, and Jacob Peek, and twelve great-grandchildren Pierce Dayton, Coulter Dayton, Claire Dayton, Lilly Dayton, Kane Dayton, Brandon Turner, Kallie Dayton, Jonah Wells, Anna Grace Wells, Lila Wells, Roman Wells, and Solomon Wells. She is also survived by sisters Margaret Cook and Betty (Tommy) Nokes, sister-in-law Panda Grime, and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011, at First Baptist Church in McMinnville with Curtis Erwin, John May, and Flyn Jennings officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
