Benjamin Franklin GANN

July 29, 1921 — February 6, 2011

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Benjamin Franklin Gann, age 89, was born July 29, 1921 and died February 6, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired farmer, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Chestnut Grove Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Amanda Parsley Gann. He was married to Lois Parker Gann who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Gail Gann; two grandsons, Charles Jr. and Blake Christopher Gann; two brothers, Bill and Howard Gann and three sisters, Rosie Miller, Nannie Rogers and Evelyn Mullins. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Faye and Jimmy Scott and Mary Alice and Jerry Myers both of the Mt. Zion Community and Patricia Ann and Doug Tigue of Morrison, TN; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Wayne and Linda Gann, Charles Franklin and Shirley Gann and David Lee Gann all of McMinnville and Larry Thomas and Nancy Gann of Manchester, TN; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Avis Rogers of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Alvin Parker of Morrison, TN; sister-in-law, Lucille Parker of Viola, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in High's Chapel with Jason Gann officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
