Robert Snooks GANN

McMinnville resident and Cannon County, TN native Robert "Snooks" Gann, age 95, was born June 5, 1915 and died January 29, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a brief illness. A retired employee of DeZurik Corporation, former McMinnville Police officer, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, he was the son of the late John and Martha Mathis Gann. He was married to Clara Bell Harlow Gann who preceded him in death August 26, 1999. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Comer Gann and sister, Gurite Haley. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Robbie and Garrett Henry of McMinnville, Patricia and Ken Lea of Murfreesboro, TN and Johnnie Ruth and Ed Sanders of Hartsville, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Teresa Gann of Madison, TN and Bobby and Rhonda Gann of McMinnville; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2011 in High's Chapel with Mike Gann officiating. Burial followed in the Leoni Cemetery in Cannon County, TN.
