J.L. Jaybird GREENE

Morrison, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native J.L. "Jaybird" Greene, age 68, was born February 14, 1943 and died October 26, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A livestock dealer and member of the Barren Fork Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charlie and Lillie Martin Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Leotra Cantrell and Peggy Turner and two brothers, C.L. Greene and Pete Green. He was married to Teddie Fuston Greene of Morrison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Irving Davis of McMinnville; three sons, Glen, Luke and Seth Greene all of Morrison, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Robin Greene of Ohio and David and Dian Greene of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Pack and Margaret and Russell Norton both of Smithville, TN; four grandchildren, Holly, Justin, Jaylon and Aleah and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 in High's Chapel with Dave Dawson officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery @ Barren Fork. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barren Fork Baptist Church Building Fund c/o High's.
