JR., Chester L. HASTON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Chester L. Haston, Jr., age 68, was born December 3, 1942 and died March 19, 2011 at Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY following a sudden illness. An employee of A.E.D.C. and United States Navy veteran of Vietnam, he attended the Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of Roberta Haston Boyd of Rock Island, TN and the late Chester L. Haston, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, David C. Boyd; grandparents, Bob and Annie Grissom and Van and Iona Haston and aunt, Sammie Grissom. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Matthew and Amy Haston of Knoxville, TN; fiancée, Ruth Redmon of McMinnville; brother, Bobby Haston of Spencer, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, June and Tom McCoy of Bone Cave, TN, Roxanne and Bruce Crain of Rock Island, TN and Jamie and Marion Pope of Estill Springs, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
