Lawrence C. Larry HASTY

McMinnville resident and Fitzgerald, GA native Lawrence C. "Larry" Hasty, age 90, was born May 2, 1920 and died April 29, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. A retired electrician with Anchor Hocking Glass Company and member of the East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John and Willie Mae Selby Hasty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Edna Thaxton Hasty. He is survived by one step-daughter Martha Madewell and husband Tony of Murfreesboro, TN; step-son, Thomas C. Thaxton and wife Marion of Viola, TN; son , Larry R. Hasty of Jacksonville, FL; step-granddaughter, Greta Hoover and husband Jeff of McMinnville; step-great-grandchildren, Rhainnon and Jordan Hoover and sister-in-law, Alice Hasty of Jacksonville, FL. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Kevin Key officiating.
