McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Bill Evins Hendrixson, age 96, was born January 22, 1915 and died Thursday, June 9, 2011 in McMinnville following an extended illness. The retired owner of Hendrixson Trucking Company, Inc., Hendrixson Hatcheries, a past member of the TN Aeronautics Commission under Governor Lamar Alexander and a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville, he was the son of the late Roscoe N. and Elsie Evins Hendrixson. He was married sixty-four years to Josephine Davis Hendrixson of McMinnville who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hendrixson was preceded in death by two brothers, Sellars and Tolbert Hendrixson of Smithville, TN. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalyn and Earl Partin of McMinnville and Lizanne and Jim Hunter of Louisville, KY and grandchildren, Ellen Hunter of Menlo Park, CA, Will Partin of Winston-Salem, NC, Emily Partin of Nashville, TN and Samuel Hunter of Louisville, KY. A graveside service and interment was held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Memorials of sympathy may be made to First United Methodist Church of McMinnville.
