Mildred Askew HERNDON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mildred Askew Herndon, age 91, was born May 17, 1919 and died April 17, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker, member of the Eastern Star Chapter 349 as Past Worthy Matron and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William Harrison and Laura Ryan Askew. She was married to Henry Lester Herndon who preceded her in death July 10, 2010. She is survived by special nephew, Bill Askew of McMinnville and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in High's Chapel with Joe Gray officiating. Burial followed in the Centertown Cemetery.
