Vera H. HILLIS

Former McMinnville resident and Warren County native Vera H. Hillis, age 94, was born July 27, 1916 and died January 11, 2011 at the Health Care and Rehab Center of Sanford in Sanford, FL. A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Lonzo and Ommie Matheny Donaldson. She was married to Morgan Hillis who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, James Morgan Hillis of Nashville, TN and Ricky Hillis of Slocomb, AL; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Onieda Neely of Johnson City, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2011 in High's Chapel with Johnny Haston officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
