McMinnville resident and Robertson County, TN native James Burton Hinkle, age 81, was born August 15, 1930 and died September 2, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired foreman with Genesco and Gardner/Findlay and member of the Northside Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William and Vera Mae Cunningham Hinkle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joey Ryan Hinkle and two sisters, Louise Goff and Shirley Goff. He was married April 2, 1949 to Martha Ryan Hinke of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James Robert Hinkle and Jeffrey Dean and Teressa Hinkle both of McMinnville and Jerry Bryan and Peggy Hinkle of Henryville, IN; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Vincent and Martha Jane Eller both of Adairville, KY and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2011 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
