William Louis Bud HOBBS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native William Louis "Bud" Hobbs, age 82, was born May 15, 1929 and died June 26, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A nursery worker and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Louis Paul and Bessie Belle Graham Hobbs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Rhea; two brothers, Leonard and Jimmy Hobbs and three sisters, Emma Barks, Frances Crim and Becky Meadows. He is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Louie Fleisher, Deborah Hobbs, Cheryl and James Vaughn and Carolyn and Chris Pinkard all of McMinnville and Sandy and Edwin Myers of Altamont, TN; two sons and daughter-in-law, Waymon Hobbs and Jason and Susan Hobbs both of McMinnville; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Josie Herrin, Pearl Herrin and Charlotte Bell all of Morrison, TN, Judy Turner, Rita Ward an Shirley Boles all of McMinnville and Barbara Wilson of Sherwood, TN; several nieces, nephews and extended family at NHC. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 in High's Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
