Wayne Thomas JORDAN

McMinnville resident and Greenville, SC native Wayne Thomas Jordan, age 62, was born August 11, 1948 and died July 16, 2011 at Manchester Medical Center following a sudden illness. A carpenter, United States Navy veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Harold Lively and Edna Earl Stevenson Jordan, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harold L. Jordan, Jr. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Calvin Rogers of McMinnville; brother, David Jordan; two nephews, two nieces, two great-nephews and two great-nieces; special friends, Donna Henderson of Smithville, TN, David Hill of McMinnville and Homer Farr of McMinnville and aunts, Mary Nell Cherry of Pensacola, FL and Mary Jordan of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 in Riverside Cemetery with Ronnie Rogers officiating. Full military honors were administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
