James Gilbert KELL

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native James Gilbert Kell, age 92, was born February 26, 1919 and died December 11, 2011 at River Park Hospital following a lingering illness. A merchant and member of the Bybee Branch Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Samuel Oscar and Edna Jane Rogers Kell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Roger Kell and two sisters, Geneva Kell Terry and Kathleen Kell Pennington. He was married to Willene Terry Kell of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Annette Kell and Terrell Kell both of McMinnville; daughter, Joyce Kell Rigsby of McMinnville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in High's Chapel with Tony Lawrence officaiting. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
