Jewell Dean Floyd KING

McMinnville resident and Marion County, TN native Jewell Dean Floyd King, age 71, was born July 9, 1939 and died May 13, 2011 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A self-employed nursery worker, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Anna May Nunley Floyd. She was married to J.C. King who preceded her in death June 29, 2005. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Preston and Jr. Floyd and sister, Elsie Anderson. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James Calvin and Jane King, Jr., Bobby Joe and Carla King and Randy William and Shelah King all of McMinnville; daughter, Beverly Annette King of McMinnville; 6 grandchildren, Christy, Chad, Chelsea, and Kailea King, Sean Parton and Hunter Green; two great-grandchildren, Eli King and Peyton Aughinbaugh; two brothers and sister-in-law, Sherman Floyd of McMinnville and Richard and Carol Floyd of Monticello, KY; sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Clyde Judkins of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Joe Boyd and family. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 in High's Chapel with Daniel Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
