Ethel Marie LOONEY

McMinnville resident Ethel Marie Looney, age 71, was born September 22, 1939 and died February 10, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of Wiseco, Inc. and member of the Living Waters Church, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Magalene Jackson Harper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Glen Young and Clarence Young; sister, Suzie Gore and three brothers, Eugene, Willy and Joseph Varner, Sr. She was married June 6, 1972 to Donald A. Looney of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Mike Bell, Diane and Greg McBride, Brenda and Johnny Craven and Audrey and Ricky Craven all of McMinnville; son, Ralph Huntley of McMinnville; step-children, Penny Pineger and Cassandra Gore both of McMinnville, Shannon Pierce of Painesville, OH and Truman Gore of Willoughby, OH; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Harvey May of Spencer, TN and Patricia Gore of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 in High's Chapel with Chris Sparkman and Daniel Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
