SR., Rodney Charles MCCORMICK

Morrison, TN resident and Detroit, MI native Rodney Charles McCormick, Sr., age 66, was born August 3, 1945 and died August 26, 2011 at the Willows at Winchester Care in Winchester, TN following an extended illness. A self-employed aluminum siding installer and United States Army veteran, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Elaine Derouin McCormick. He was married to Bonnie Faye Cantrell who preceded him in death March 12, 2011. He is survived by two sons, Rodney McCormick, Jr. of Virginia and Bryan McCormick of Florida; two daughters, Nichole McCormick and Brittany McCormick both of Florida; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl Partin of Estill Springs, TN and Penny Clendenon of Smyrna, TN; four brothers, David, Mike, Pat and Dennis McCormick all of McMinnville and fifteen nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery (Hwy. 30) with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
