Elizabeth Liz MORTON

January 17, 1942 — December 31, 2011

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Elizabeth "Liz" Morton, age 69, was born January 17, 1942 and died December 31, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of Sunny Hills Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Haston and Wilma Zona Young Judkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Lucille Morton McCormick and two brothers, David Lee Judkins and Jerry Haston Judkins. She was married July 7, 1960 to Allen Morton of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses, Rose Ellen Sims and Timothy Allen and Kathy Morton both of McMinnville and Wilma Lee and Christopher Caswell of Smithville, TN; eight grandchildren, Allen Sims, Adam McCormick, Chris Sims, Nicholas McCormick, Johnathon Thatch, Lacy Thatch, Nicholas Morton and Tyler Pamolus; three great-grandchildren, Maddox Aaron Sims, Riley Wayne Sims and Aubrey Elizabeth Rose Sims; three brothers, Alton Judkins and Jesse Stephen Judkins both of McMinnville and Bobby Judkins of Rock Island, TN; seven sisters, Faye Washer of Smithville, TN, Judy Gail West, Edith Lynn Melton, Wanda June Smith, Renee Chisam and Cathy Judkins all of McMinnville and Jeraldine Arnold of Morrison, TN and several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in High's Chapel with Richard Haley officaiting. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
