James Russell Rusty NEWBY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Russell "Rusty" Newby, age 47, was born March 16, 1963 and died January 19, 2011 at his residence following a sudden illness. An insurance agent with Allstate Insurance Company and member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of Jim and Linda Robinson Newby of McMinnville. Rusty was an avid supporter of Pioneer youth athletic programs. He was married to Tamra Greene Newby of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children, Jacob, Jessie and Jenna Newby all of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and David Bouldin of Allen, TX and Tracey and Stan Pickens of Manchester, TN; four nieces and their spouses, Angela and Jaime Barraza, Cindy and James Saldana, Laura and Michael Gibson and Haley Greene; three nephews, Dave Bouldin, Christopher Bouldin and wife, Jamie and Casey Myers; several great-nieces and great-nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Dian Greene of McMinnville and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Shirley Greene of Smyrna, TN. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 in High's Chapel. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rusty Newby Memorial Fund c/o Allstate Insurance Company, 1502 Smithville Hwy., McMinnville, TN 37110.
