Charles Edward OFFICER

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Charles Edward Officer, age 60, was born April 4, 1951 and died September 4, 2011 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. The sole proprietor of a transportation company, United States Army veteran and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Georgia Reedy Officer of Sparta, TN and the late Paul Officer. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Frances and Mack Officer and Nottie Wilburn. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Allen McKinley of Murfreesboro, TN; two sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and Melissa Womack of Sparta, TN and Brendan Breedlove of Rock Island, TN; two grandsons, Logan Womack and Colby McKinley; granddaughter, Taylor McKinley; two brothers and sister-in-law, Leonardo and Mary White of Sparta, TN and Norman Burton of Murfreesboro, TN; uncle, Herbert Officer of Sparta, TN; two aunts, Aline Strode Wood and Jeanette Officer both of Sparta, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011 in High's Chapel with George King officiating. Burial followed in the Sparkman Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
