Juanita Angie Gore PHILLIPS

McMinnville resident and Overton County, TN native Juanita Angie Gore Phillips, age 88, was born May 22, 1923 and died October 7, 2011 at Riverview Terrace in McMinnville following a brief illness. A retired bank teller with Security Federal Savings & Loan in Maryville, TN, member of First Baptist Church in McMinnville and a member of Ben Lomand Garden Club, she was the daughter of the late Cubert and Verda M. Ledbetter Gore. She was married May 25, 1946 to Talmadge Ewell Phillips who preceded her in death August 8, 1987. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Olen Wyant Gore and sister, Consawillo "Connie" Billings. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Clint Moore of McMinnville and Jenny and Greg Barnes of Brentwood, TN and four grandchildren, Chase Moore and fiancée Sarah Jane Park of Nashville, TN, Kayann Moore of McMinnville and Brooks Barnes and Carson Barnes both of Brentwood, TN. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 in High's Chapel with John May officiating. Burial followed in Crestlawn Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to American Alzheimer's Association or Wednesday Night Meals at First Baptist Church.
