James Jim L. PLEMONS

Summitville resident and Dunsmuir, CA native James "Jim" L. Plemons, age 73, was born November 16, 1937 and died January 17, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired contractor, member of Ezel Masonic Lodge #381 in Morrison, TN and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Louie and Frances Irene Mahaffey Plemons. He was married January 2, 1957 to Betty Lou Plemons of Summitville, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie Plemons of Christiana, TN, Melinda and Bill Stephens of Atlanta, GA and Marianne and Paul Meachum of Cookeville, TN and two grandchildren, Katie Lower of Christiana, TN and Trevor Stephens of Atlanta, GA. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 in High's Chapel with R.S. Rigney officiating. Burial followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN.
