Velma Carlene PRICE

Beersheba Springs, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Velma Carlene Price, age 91, was born September 8, 1920 and died November 20, 2011 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired secretary with the Mad River Township School System in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Tucker Brown. She was married to Hyman L. Price who preceded her in death October 24, 1980. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons and eight siblings. She is survived by three children, Lana Price of McMinnville, Billie Price of Altamont, TN and Phillip Price of Beersheba Springs, TN; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Grace Chapel Cemetery in Grundy County, TN with Clayton Jones officiating.
