James L. RAMSEY

McMinnville resident and Highland Park, MI native James L. Ramsey, age 72, was born January 13, 1939 and died February 8, 2011 at his residence following a ten-month illness. A retired employee of AEDC, retired member of the Tennessee Army National Guard and member of the Clark United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Edd W. and Annie M. Stokes Ramsey. He was married July 9, 1966 to Peggy Ann Kennerly Ramsey who preceded him in death September 7, 2003. He is survived by one daughter, Audrey Ramsey of McMinnville; three brothers and sister-in-law, Alfred Ramsey of Atlanta, GA, William L. and Joe Ella Ramsey of Beaver Creek, OH and Frederick Ramsey of McMinnville; special friend, Liz Burton of Memphis, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011 in High's Chapel with Rev. Eddie Vance officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
