Archie Lee RENO

McMinnville resident and Roane County, TN native Archie Lee Reno, age 80, was born June 12, 1931 and died October 15, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late Arthur Bird and Etta Mae Grisby Reno. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Troy, Tony and Kelly Reno and one sister, Viola Roberts. He was married to Charlotte Grace Reed Reno of McMinnville. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Reno of McMinnville and Tracy and Donna Reno of McMinnville; eight grandchildren, Sherry, Kristy, Brandon, Bethni, Jeremy, Ashley, Shelley and Jayden; fourteen great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cecil Lynn of Alabama, Bonnie Davis of California and Lorene Johnson of Riceville, TN; two brothers, Charlie Reno and Bill Reno both of Niota, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in High's Chapel. Burial followed in New Union Cemetery, Hwy. 30.
