Hubbard's Cove community resident and Coffee County, TN native Gladys Marie Rhea, age 92, was born October 15, 1918 and died January 13, 2011 at Alive Hospice @ Skyline Madison Campus in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company and member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Leta Zumbrow Adams. She was married to Claude Rhea who preceded her in death in 1992. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubrey Lee and Johnny B. Adams. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Rhea of the Hubbard's Cove Community; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Robin Hood of Estill Springs, TN; three grandchildren, Greg Rogers of Nashville, TN, Jimmy Rhea of the Hubbard's Cove Community and Lori Lederer of Nashville, TN; three great-grandchildren, Shani Atkinson, Graham Lederer and Maggie Lederer; sister, Jean Eaton of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2010 at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with Al Joslyn and Bobby Zumbrow officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel Cemetery Association.
